Cat Euthanasia

Cat Euthanasia

Saying goodbye is always hard, and it can be especially difficult when we are faced with making that decision. At Alouette Animal Hospital, our goal is to support you and your family through this important time. We offer a comfort room so the family can feel more at home and can take the time they need for their final visit.

When should I consider pet euthanasia?

When you feel like the quality of life for your animal is not to the standards that it has been prior.

What is the process for cat euthanasia?

The euthanasia drug is administered through an intravenous. Your cat may be given a sedative to help to remain calm, and the entire procedure is handled with the utmost respect.

Do you do house calls?

No.

Can I stay with my cat during euthanasia?

Yes, you can be present with your cat during the euthanasia procedure. If you are uncomfortable being present, we can be present and supportive for your cat in their final moments.

What is the cost of pet euthanasia?

Kindly give us a call and a member of our team will be able to provide you with details.

Does your hospital provide bereavement counseling?

Our hospital does not provide this service, but we can refer you to someone who does bereavement counselling.
