How can I tell if my dog has fleas or ticks?

You may find flea dirt on your dog or live fleas by combing the backend area. Often, fleas go unnoticed for a long time until the numbers have multiplied to a level that causes problems for your dog. Prevention is always easier and less of an expense than treating an infestation that has taken place in your home. Ticks on the body can be very hard to locate until they have fed for some time and engorged. Consult with your veterinarian if you have any concerns regarding these pesky pests.
