Shelley

Veterinary Technician

I made a career change to work with animals almost 25 years ago, something I had always wanted to do for a long as I can remember.  I first started with Alouette in 2003 then left for a few years to work with wildlife, exotics and farm animals.  I returned to Alouette in the summer of 2022.  I like to joke I came home to retire. I feel so grateful to be in this positive environment , giving our best to every fur baby and their humans.

When I’m not at work, I’m with my husband, twin teenagers, 2 cats California and Mable and our 2 dogs Tucker and Athena.

Fun fact:  In 2008 my Uncle, the Honorable Senator John Bryden,  managed to have the bill passed to amend the criminal code (cruelty to animals act) to increase to the maximum penalty for animal cruelty offences .
